Two journalists banned from German skating body press conference

Sport journalists Hajo Seppelt and Jörg Mebus were banned from a press conference organized by the German Speed Skating and Short Track Association (DESG) on Thursday, according to a letter received by dpa. Both journalists had a key role in a report by German broadcaster ARD which denounced irregularities at the DESG and a strained relationship between some athletes and the association's leadership before the Milan/Cortina Winter Olympics.
