Rare Hammerhead Discovery Suggests Climate Change Could Be Reshaping Shark Habitats

A young smooth hammerhead shark discovered in northwestern Spain marks the first confirmed record of a newborn or recently born individual in Galicia and possibly the entire Iberian Peninsula. Combined with several recent sightings of adult smooth hammerheads in the region, the finding suggests these sharks may be expanding into new coastal habitats.
