Portugal Rejects Link Between Lajes Base Use and UN Election

Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel has denied any direct connection between the authorization for the US to use the Lajes Base and Portugal's election to the UN Security Council. He rejected the notion of a trade-off in an interview with RTP.
