Study Reveals Ancient World Spoke Up to 75,000 Languages
A new study suggests that the ancient world once featured as many as 75,000 languages, significantly more than the approximately 7,500 languages currently in use globally. English, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, and French are noted as the most common modern languages.
