French local officials criticize Macron's decentralization policies
France's three main associations of local elected officials are criticizing what they call an unprecedented re-centralization under the Macron presidency, ahead of the upcoming presidential election. François Sauvadet, president of the UDI Departments of France, specifically denounced this "unprecedented recentralization," stating that local liberties have never receded to this extent.
