New mosasaur species, 'Prognathodon cipactli,' discovered in Mexico
Paleontologists have discovered the fossil of a new mosasaur species, named 'Prognathodon cipactli,' a superpredator marine reptile that lived in the seas of what is now northeastern Mexico about 70 million years ago.
