Italian Exports and Imports See Growth in December

Italian exports increased by 4.9% and imports rose by 3.4% in December compared to the previous year, according to Istat data.

Ambassador Lener meets with key players in the country's economic system in Sydney

(ANSA) - ROMA, 17 FEB - Assisted by Consul General Rubagotti, Ambassador Nicola Lener made his first visit to Sydney from February 12 to 14, with the aim of meeting the main players in the country's economic system and Italian companies operating in New South Wales (NSW). In particular, at the offices of the Consulate General in Sydney, the Ambassador chaired a coordination meeting with the various Italian institutions and associations present in NSW, which illustrated their respective activities aimed at supporting the large and diverse Italian community and promoting the economic and cultural interests of our country. Ambassador Lener also participated in a meeting to present the main Italian companies operating in NSW, organized in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo at its offices in the city. The meeting, which was also attended by the Director of the ICE Office in Sydney and the President of the local Italian Chamber of Commerce, saw the active participation of numerous companies such as Ghella, Potentia (Enel Green Power), Arneg Oceania, Biesse Group Australia & New Zealand, De'Longhi Australia Pty Ltd, Max Mara Fashion Group, Technogym Australia, and We Build. The Ambassador then traveled to Liverpool, where he visited one of Prysmian's two production facilities in the Sydney area, accompanied by the Group's CEO for Oceania, Andrea Kraus. During the visit, the Ambassador also met with employees of the Consulate General, the Italian Cultural Institute, and the ICE Office, whom he thanked for their contribution to the provision of consular services and promotional activities in NSW.
