UK has not paused Chagos Island deal ratification after US criticism

Britain clarified it has not paused the ratification of a deal to cede sovereignty of the Chagos Archipelago to Mauritius. While discussions with the US continue, a foreign office spokesperson stated no deadline exists and timings will be announced normally.
