US Student Visas for Indians Decline Sharply; Report Calls for OPT Program Scrapping

The number of US student visas issued to Indian nationals has dropped by 62%, according to a new report. The report from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) also recommends discontinuing the Optional Practical Training (OPT) program.
