Opposition files no-confidence move over Finland poverty rise

Finland’s opposition parties have launched a formal challenge to the government over poverty and rising living costs, citing new data that shows a growing share of households under financial strain and warning of further increases without policy change. The Left Alliance, the Social Democrats and the Greens submitted an interpellation to parliament on Wednesday targeting the government led by Petteri Orpo, with the move expected to lead to a vote of no confidence later this month.
