Dutch Local Parties Challenge GroenLinks-PvdA Over New Name

Dozens of local parties in the Netherlands with "Pro" in their names are threatening legal action against the GroenLinks-PvdA fusion party if the Electoral Council approves "Pro" as part of their new name.

Tientallen lokale partijen met Pro in hun naam gaan de strijd met GroenLinks-PvdA aan vanwege de naam. Ze stappen naar de rechter als de Kiesraad de naam Pro voor de nieuwe fusiepartij toestaat, zegt Dario Castiglione, die namens vijftig lokale partijen de kar trekt.
