Rare Awake Brain Surgery Performed in Latvia
Doctors at Stradiņš Hospital in Latvia, in collaboration with colleagues from the Children's Hospital, performed a rare 'awake surgery' to remove a brain tumor from a patient, who remained conscious for several hours during the procedure to prevent future speech and comprehension difficulties.
