Monkey keeps vigil through night by Bengaluru woman’s body in poignant ‘farewell’

A touching scene unfolded in Rayara Doddi village. An 85-year-old woman, V Parvatamma, passed away. A monkey, known to be fed by her, stayed by her body through the night. It appeared to grieve, refusing to leave even as people gathered. The animal's unusual vigil continued until cremation preparations began.
