French National Assembly President Regrets Minute of Silence for Far-Right Activist
Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the French National Assembly, has expressed regret over a minute of silence held for Quentin Deranque, stating she later learned he was a far-right activist with "abject" views. She maintained, however, that no one should die for their beliefs.
