Escort of ships in the Strait of Hormuz not currently being conducted, says US spokesperson
At a press conference on the 10th, White House spokesperson Levitt stated regarding the Strait of Hormuz, "Currently, the US Navy is not escorting tankers or ships. However, it is of course one of the options. As President Trump has said, it will be implemented as needed and at the appropriate time."
