Study: Macroalgae Remove Synthetic Dyes from Water
A study by the University of Aveiro in Portugal found that macroalgae species like Fucus, Gracilaria, and Ulva can remove up to 92% of synthetic dyes from water, offering a low-cost solution already in practice in the country.
