Man Acquitted in 40-Year-Old Murder Case Seeks ¥40 Million Compensation
Akiji Maekawa, 60, who was acquitted in a retrial of a junior high school girl's murder case from 40 years ago in Fukui City, is seeking approximately 40 million yen in compensation from the state for wrongful detention over about 8 years and 9 months.
