Cyber experts warn about remote device takeover fraud scams targeting mobile users. A Lucknow woman lost over three lakh rupees in such a sophisticated scam. Fraudsters posed as customer support executives to trick the victim's child. They obtained screen-sharing permissions by asking for prompts to be tapped. This allowed criminals to access banking apps and steal funds.
