Poor Building Construction Blamed for Earthquake Deaths in Venezuela

Fernando Carrilho, head of seismology at IPMA, stated that global seismic activity is normal, but the destruction in Venezuela from recent earthquakes was due to poor building construction, with warnings issued too late.
