Hundreds of Aid Workers Killed in 2023, Mostly in Sudan and Gaza
A total of 350 humanitarian aid workers were killed worldwide last year, with the majority of deaths occurring in Sudan and Gaza. Local aid workers accounted for 99 percent of the fatalities, highlighting the extreme dangers faced by those on the ground.
