Croatia Considers 'Floating' VAT for Fuel Prices

Croatia's Ministry of Finance has prepared amendments to the VAT law that would allow the government to potentially reduce the tax rate on petroleum products by up to ten percentage points, a measure that would only be implemented if fuel prices continue to escalate.

MINISTARSTVO financija već je pripremilo izmjene Zakona o PDV-u koje bi vladi omogućile potencijalno smanjivanje porezne stope na naftne derivate, maksimalno za deset postotnih bodova, no do primjene te mjere bi došlo isključivo u slučaju daljnje eskalacije sukoba na Bliskom istoku i posljedično još snažnijeg rasta cijena energenata.
