Average Price of Rice in Japanese Supermarkets Falls for Sixth Consecutive Week

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the average price of 5 kg of rice sold in supermarkets nationwide in Japan was 3,198 yen (tax included) for the week ending August 2nd, a decrease of 113 yen from the previous week, marking the sixth consecutive week of price drops.
