Nationalizing Water Would Cost £140 Billion, Burnham Is Warned

Creditors of Thames Water have told the UK government it would cost £40 billion ($53.8 billion) more than previously thought to nationalize England’s water companies, in a bid to stop Prime Minister Andy Burnham taking extreme steps to give the public more control over the industry.
