Gill wins Junior Olympics Regional title

Cohen Gill, with ties to two South Coast track clubs, was champion in the turbo javelin at the Pacific Northwest Regionals Junior Olympics track and field meet. Gill, who is part of Coos County Youth Track and trains with Coastal Takeoff, won the event in the 8 and under age group in the regional meet near Seattle with a throw of 20.56 meters.
