Pioneering Heart Surgery Performed on 12-Year-Old in Poland

Doctors at the Upper Silesian Children's Health Center in Poland performed a complex, pioneering cardiosurgical operation on a 12-year-old boy. The patient, suffering from cystic fibrosis and a severe congenital heart defect, underwent a multi-hour procedure.
