Waterspout and meteotsunami affect tourists in Croatia

Weather disturbances surprised tourists on the island of Čiovo with a waterspout near the beach, while a meteotsunami raged on Hvar, causing sea levels to rise in some areas.

Turiste na Čiovu prestrašil vodni vrtinec, na Hvaru spet meteocunami

Vremenske nevšečnosti so presenetile turiste na otoku Čiovo. Nepričakovano se je namreč tik ob plaži pojavil vodni vrtinec in začel razmetavati brisače, napihljive blazine ter vse, kar je bilo na poti. Na Hvaru je divjal meteocunami, ponekod je morje prestopilo bregove in zalilo promenado, restavracije in kavarne.
