LGUs can’t seek loans directly from foreign institutions – DOJ

MANILA, Philippines — Local government units (LGUs) cannot seek loans directly from foreign banks or institutions, as existing laws limit them to seek funding sources only from state-owned or domestic private entities for any government project.
