Italian Government Targets Deficit with New Excise Duties and Green Certificates
The Italian government is focusing on its deficit targets, proposing a new round of excise duties worth 500 million euros and utilizing revenue from VAT and green certificates to cover discounts until at least April 30. A meeting between Prime Minister Meloni and Descalzi on gas supply was also held.
