Bulgarian Authorities Predict 1% of Lev Currency Will Not Be Exchanged for Euro
Bulgarian authorities estimate that approximately 1% of the lev currency currently in circulation will not be exchanged when the country adopts the euro. Vladimir Ivanov, chairman of the coordination center for euro introduction, noted that about 88% of levs in circulation have already been exchanged.
