(ANSA) - NEW DELHI, 18 FEB - Italy was represented today at the India AI Impact Summit by prominent figures who took part in the seven working groups around which the Indian government organized the event. The Italians spoke in particular on 'Shaping equitable AI transitions: building global human capital for the age of AI', a panel that saw the participation of Giovanni Ponti, head of Enea's Computer Science and ICT Development Division, and 'Practical pathways for operationalising safe and trusted AI', with Diego Brasioli, deputy director general for cyber diplomacy and technological innovation at the Farnesina. In addition to them, Father Paolo Benanti, from the Department of Moral Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, was the protagonist of a meeting organized by the Orf/Carnegie think tank on the theme "AI for the world." Also at the Summit, Emanuele Spampinato of Harmonic participated in a session on finance and philanthropy, focused on collaboration between countries in the southern hemisphere, with the aim of creating a platform that allows leaders of low- and middle-income countries to discuss opportunities to work directly together, thanks to AI.
