Anthropological Study Finds Ventspils Residents Taller, Heavier, and More Stubborn

A new anthropological study by RSU researchers has found that residents of Ventspils are taller, heavier, and more stubborn compared to other inhabitants of the Kurzeme region in Latvia. The research highlights unique characteristics of the Ventspils population.

Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes (RSU) pētnieki nākuši klajā ar jaunāko iedzīvotāju antropoloģisko pētījumu, kurā apzināti ventspilnieki. Izrādās, šajā apvidū dzīvojošie ir garāki un smagāki par citiem kurzemniekiem, turklāt arī krietni spītīgāki. Pētījums turpināsies vēl vairākus gadus visā Latvijā, lai pēcāk tos izmantotu arī gluži praktiskiem nolūkiem.
