Approximately 300 portable air conditioners to Kumamoto Airport, Ministry of Defense

Due to power outages in disaster-stricken areas, some evacuation centers are unable to use air conditioners. In response to requests from local governments, the Ministry of Defense transported approximately 300 portable air conditioners via an Air Self-Defense Force transport plane to Kumamoto Airport on the afternoon of the 29th. These are expected to be distributed to evacuation centers and other locations throughout Kumamoto Prefecture.
