Istat says 6.6 million Italians who want to have children have given up

(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 21 - Istat said in its annual report on Thursday that around 6.6 million people who desire to have children in Italy have given up hope of having them. It said the reasons for these people giving up on having children were various, starting with economic and employment issues.
