DMK leader R Radhakrishnan arrested over remarks on TN CM Vijay, granted bail

Tamil Nadu police arrested senior DMK MLA Anitha R Radhakrishnan for allegedly defaming Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay. The arrest followed the denial of anticipatory bail by the Madras High Court. DMK leaders, including M K Stalin and Udhayanidhi Stalin, condemned the action, labeling it high-handedness and accusing the ruling party of a 'police state' approach. Radhakrishnan asserted his loyalty to the DMK amidst the controversy.
