Proposals Submitted to Drastically Reduce Unemployment Benefits in Lithuania
Following the implementation of new unemployment benefit regulations, the Lithuanian Free Market Institute (LLRI) has submitted proposals to halve benefit amounts and eliminate payments for some recipients. Their analysis suggests current changes do not significantly reduce "unemployment traps" as initial month benefits remain largely unchanged for most unemployed individuals.
