Switzerland Raises VAT to Fund Increased Military Spending
Switzerland is set to increase its Value Added Tax (VAT) by 0.5 percentage points. This measure aims to generate 24 billion francs in additional funds over the coming years, which will be allocated to supplementary investments in military armament to counter hybrid and long-range threats.
