Campaigners Urge End to Indefinite IPP Prisoner Recalls in UK

Campaigners are calling on ministers to end the "catastrophic cycle" of open-ended Imprisonment for Public Protection (IPP) recalls in the UK. They estimate that over £64 million is spent annually on re-imprisoning IPP prisoners indefinitely, even when they have committed no further crimes.
