Preparatory Work Begins for S1 Nordostumfahrung in Vienna

Preparatory construction work has commenced for the first section of the S1 Nordostumfahrung (northeast bypass) around Vienna. This development proceeds despite the fact that permits for the second section, which includes the controversial Lobautunnel, have not yet been secured.
