Gov Chadchart to resign early, run again as independent

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt has announced he will resign from office at 5pm on Monday, before his term ends later in the week, to attend his son’s graduation overseas and prepare a fresh bid for re-election as an independent.
