Bank of Ghana Reports Decline in ATMs and Rise in POS Terminals in 2024

The Bank of Ghana reported a slight 0.5% decrease in ATM numbers to 2,272 in 2024, while POS terminals saw a significant 16.2% increase to 18,117.

The number of Point of Sales (POS) terminals deployed, however, increased by 16.2% to 18,117 at end-December 2025 from 15,597 at end-December 2024.
