BBVA Becomes First Ibex Company to Face Trial in Villarejo Case
BBVA has become the first Ibex 35 company to be brought to trial in the 'Villarejo case,' a major corruption scandal in Spain. A judge from the Audiencia Nacional has attributed crimes of bribery and 52 counts of discovery and revelation of secrets to the banking entity.
