Lake Saimaa Ice Melt Accelerates, Two Weeks Earlier Than Historical Average
Ice on Finland's Lake Saimaa has melted two weeks earlier than the historical average in Lappeenranta, a phenomenon that has occurred five times in the 2000s compared to never before mid-April prior to 1990.
