The South Korean company Sungeel has received a second-instance environmental permit from the Ministry of Energy to expand its battery waste processing plant in Bátonyterenye, Hungary, despite local appeals. The permit notably referenced the hazardous classification of battery waste from Samsung's Göd factory.
