Milan bourse suffers more big losses as market turmoil continues

(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 9 - The Milan stock exchange's FTSE Mib index fell by 2.25% in early trading on Monday amid ongoing turmoil on the international financial markets following the outbreak of the Iran war. The appointment of Ali Khamenei's son Mojtaba Khamenei as Iran's new supreme leader has fuelled fears the war will be a long one and that the ECB is now expected to raise interest rates to combat the risk of higher inflation.
