While we will sweat properly in the Czech Republic today, France has already seen the hottest days of the current heatwave. Temperatures repeatedly exceeded the 40-degree mark in several places.

Zatímco v Česku se dnes pořádně zapotíme, Francie už má nejteplejší dny současné vlny veder za sebou. Teploty opakovaně na několika místech překonaly hranici 40 stupňů. Lidé pracovali a spali v městských parcích, v garážích nebo ve sklepech. Paříž dokonce kvůli horku výjimečně povolila koupání v kanálu Saint-Martin, který v 19. století nechal vybudovat Napoleon Bonaparte.
