Priča počinje 2012. godine kada je tadašnji predsednik Srbije Boris Tadić iz samo njemu znanih razloga, skratio samom sebi mandat i raspisao opšte izbore. Moglo bi se međutim reći da je iz dobrih namera, naseo na naprednjačku podvalu starog Šešeljevog radikala Tome Nikolića koji je danima glumio štrajk glađu sedeći na stiroporu ispred Skupštine, sa zahtevom da pored redovnih parlamentarnih, budu raspisani i vanredni predsednički izbori.
