Monuments from defunct villages in Ústí Region could return to post-mining landscape
Hundreds of historical monuments, including chapels and crosses, that were displaced from villages in the Ústí Region of the Czech Republic due to coal mining, are being considered for return to the reclaimed landscape. Researchers are studying the feasibility of relocating these artifacts from museums and private properties back to their original areas.
