In race to succeed Macron, Elysée Palace hints at preference for Lecornu

President Emmanuel Macron has no intention of fading into the background ahead of the presidential election. With both of his centrist bloc's candidates failing to meet his expectations, Macron's inner circle is pushing the idea of Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu entering the race.
