Valmiera Cyclists Report Imperfections in New Bike Paths

Valmiera, Latvia, has developed approximately 40 km of new bicycle paths, but cyclists have pointed out imperfections and inconvenient sections in some parts of the network.

Kāda ir velobraucēju infrastruktūra reģionu lielajās pilsētās? Valmierā velobraucēji atzina – pilsētā ir labi izbūvēti un ērti izmantojami veloceliņi, tomēr joprojām ir posmi, kas nav ērti braukšanai un dažkārt liek velobraucējiem izvēlēties braukt pa auto brauktuvi, kur savukārt šoferiem ir iebildumi. Nākotnē iedzīvotāji cer arī uz jaunas velo infrastruktūras attīstību.
