Elderly Woman Defrauded of ¥1.2 Billion in Japan by Impersonators
An 80-year-old woman in Ehime Prefecture was scammed out of approximately 1.2 billion yen by individuals who posed as police officers and prosecutors, claiming her account was being used for money laundering. Police are investigating the incident as a special fraud case.
